This website is a public information site for the Rockford Racing League (RRL). There are no user accounts, no registration, no comment function and no contact form. We do not use cookies, advertising or analytics tools. Personal data is processed in these areas only: the technical delivery of the site (hosting), the published league data (drivers, teams, results, Commission), a few resources loaded from third-party servers, the optional information banner, and contact with us by e-mail or Discord.
The website is hosted on GitHub Pages (provider: GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you open the site, GitHub automatically processes technical access data (such as your IP address, the time of access, the file requested and your browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not receive or evaluate these logs ourselves. GitHub, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer to the USA is therefore based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in delivering the website securely and reliably).
The site publishes the results and history of the league: driver names (usually pseudonymous gamertags), team membership, race results, points, statistics, ratings, penalties and complaint counts, awards (such as Driver of the Day), the all-time statistics and the Hall of Fame. The Commission page names the people who organise the league with their role and active period. Some driver profiles show a picture. The data comes from the league's own race records and from the information drivers give us when they take part.
Purpose: running a competitive league and documenting its history, which includes the results of past seasons. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest, and that of the participants, in a transparent, fair and traceable league). We do not publish any special categories of personal data.
Retention: results and statistics are kept permanently as part of the league's history.
Your choice: If you no longer want your driver name or picture shown, or want to correct a mistake, write to us (see section 11). On request we replace your driver name with an anonymous label, correct the data or remove your picture. This also applies to the objection right described in section 12.
YouTube thumbnails (Home and Media pages). Preview images of videos are loaded directly from YouTube's image server (img.youtube.com). Your browser therefore connects to Google's servers and transmits technical data such as your IP address and browser type to Google. No YouTube video player is embedded; a video only opens on YouTube if you click the link. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; for users outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google LLC, USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). We do not set or read any cookies for this.
Spreadsheet library (Standings, Stats, Compare, Team and Hall of Fame pages). These pages read the league's data file in your browser using the open-source library SheetJS, which is loaded from the content delivery network cdnjs (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When it loads, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR).
Legal basis for both: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in showing the league content and in a fast, working delivery of the library).
The site links to Discord, Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, PlayStation, the Rockstar Games Social Club, gtacars.net and Leonida Racing. These are plain links: we do not embed plug-ins or buttons that send data to these providers while you only browse our site. Data is transmitted to the provider only when you click a link; from then on, the provider's own privacy policy applies. If you join our Discord server, Discord processes your data as described in its own privacy policy (discord.com/privacy). Leonida Racing is a separate website of the same operator with its own privacy policy.
The site sometimes shows a slim banner pointing to the Leonida Racing website. If you close it with the X, your browser remembers this for the current browsing session by storing a time stamp and a short flag in its session storage. This data stays in your browser, is not sent to us and is deleted when you close the tab or browser. We set no cookies and use no other local storage. Storing this choice is technically necessary for the function you requested (hiding the banner) and needs no consent under Section 25(2) TDDDG.
If you write to us at contact@leonidaracing.com, we process your e-mail address, your message and the technical delivery data to answer you. E-mails to this address are received by Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc., USA, see section 5 for its certification) and forwarded to our mailbox. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete your message when your request is dealt with and no statutory retention period applies.
If you contact us through our Discord server or by direct message, Discord processes the data on its own platform under its own responsibility. We see your Discord name and the content of your message and use it only to answer you or to run the league. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Besides the providers named above, we pass your data on to third parties only if we are legally obliged to. We do not sell personal data and do not make decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
Please send all privacy requests (access, correction, deletion, anonymisation, objection) to contact@leonidaracing.com. You can write in English or German.
You have the right to access the data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have incorrect data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), to have your data deleted (Art. 17 GDPR), to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). If you object, we will stop the processing unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (lfd.niedersachsen.de); you can also contact the authority at your place of residence.
We update this privacy policy when the way we process data changes. The version published at the time of your visit applies.
